AUTUMN CLASSES 2021
The gentle practice of Tai Chi can touch our lives in such a way as to energise and balance body, mind and spirit amid the demands and challenges of modern life
YANG STYLE TAI CHI is the most commonly practiced form of Tai Chi where the pace is uniformly slow throughout. Individual postures within Yang Style Tai Chi are linked together smoothly and continuously, likened to ‘reeling silk from a cocoon’.
My classes are structured not only to help develop the body’s flexibility, balance, stamina and strength, but also to encourage relaxation and thereby help in reducing stress. The classes includes warm-up/stretching routines, meditation stances and Qigong breathing exercises, all in conjunction with and complementary to learning Yang Style Tai Chi.
In recent years I have been privileged to join other instructors in receiving tuition from Grandmaster Yang Jun, the head of the Yang Family, whose style I enjoy passing on through teaching as an essential and integral part of my own 28 years’ practice. I am also a member of the International Yang Family Tai Chi Chuan Association.
